Delivery & returns
Last updated 6 November 2026
This page has 15 highlighted gaps still to fill in.
Delivery
Where I deliver: [GAP: “UK only” or “the UK and worldwide”].
Cost: [GAP: e.g. “Free tracked and insured delivery on all original artworks within the UK.”] [GAP: if you ship abroad, e.g. “International delivery is charged at cost and quoted before you pay.” If not, delete this.]
When it’s sent: I pack every artwork by hand and send it within [GAP: number] working days of your payment. I’ll email you when it’s on its way. Most UK deliveries arrive within [GAP: number] working days after that.
How it’s sent: [GAP: e.g. “By Royal Mail Special Delivery or a tracked courier, fully insured for its value. Someone will need to sign for it.”]
Packaging: Canvases and boards are wrapped in [GAP: e.g. “acid-free tissue, bubble wrap and corner protectors”] inside a sturdy box. Works on paper are sent flat [GAP: or “rolled in a tube”].
[GAP: if you ship abroad, keep this paragraph. If not, delete it.] Deliveries outside the UK: your country may charge import duties, taxes or fees when the artwork arrives. These are set by your country, not me, and are your responsibility.
Delays: if your artwork hasn’t arrived within 30 days of your order and we haven’t agreed a later date, you can cancel for a full refund.
If your artwork arrives damaged
I pack carefully, but accidents happen in transit. If your artwork arrives damaged:
- Please keep all the packaging. The carrier may need to see it.
- Email me at you@example.com as soon as you can, ideally within 48 hours, with photos of the damage and the packaging.
- I’ll arrange the return at my cost and give you a full refund, including the original delivery cost. If the damage can be repaired and you’d prefer that, I’ll repair it.
This doesn’t affect your legal rights. See section 8 of my Terms of sale.
Changing your mind
If you buy an original artwork online, you have 14 days from the day you receive it to cancel for any reason.
How to cancel: email me at you@example.com saying you’d like to cancel, with your name and the artwork’s title. You can use the cancellation form below, but you don’t have to. To meet the deadline, just make sure you tell me before the 14 days are up.
Sending it back: please return the artwork within 14 days of telling me you’re cancelling, to [GAP: the business address you’ll show publicly (not a PO box)] [GAP: or a different returns address].
- Pack it as carefully as it was sent to you, ideally in the original packaging.
- [GAP: Choose one. “You’ll need to pay the cost of returning it.” OR “I’ll pay for the return and send you a prepaid label.”] Because artworks are valuable and fragile, I recommend a tracked, insured service. The artwork is your responsibility until it reaches me.
Your refund: I’ll refund the price of the artwork and the original standard delivery cost within 14 days of receiving it back, or of you showing me proof that you’ve sent it, whichever is sooner. If you chose a more expensive delivery option, I’ll refund only the cost of my standard delivery. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with.
Condition: you’re welcome to unpack the artwork and look at it as you would in a gallery. If it comes back damaged, or has been handled more than that (for example, framed, drilled or hung), I may reduce your refund to reflect its reduced value.
Commissions made to your own specifications can’t be cancelled under this policy. See my Commission terms.

If you’d like to cancel in writing, you can copy this form into an email:
